Come With Me
by Geoffrey Zamboni

"He held my hand for only a few moments, but it felt like I was drawn into another world and time."

A chance encounter with a mysterious man leaves Jeff feeling several conflicted feelings. On the one hand, Charlie is captivating, alluring, and handsome. There’s even something about him that seems to make Jeff lose touch with reality when he’s near. Yet there’s something off as well. Charlie seems to know where Jeff is at all times, sneaking gifts into his home while he’s out or bumping into him in a way that can’t be random. Invited to Charlie’s Catalina estate, Jeff needs to make a decision whether or not he wants to give into Charlie’s advances or draw a line before things go so far that there’s no coming back. Making a decision between the voice in his heart and the one in his gut could be the only thing that keeps his life in balance.

The suave, whirlwind romantic style of Charlie is something that plenty can fantasize about, given his limitless wealth and obsessive attachment, yet there is an element of danger that readers will recognize immediately that gives the story a nervous tension. Short interludes and romantic moments have the potential to twist into something darker sentence by sentence, and readers will be left turning page after page to pursue questions whose answers seem to keep changing. The romantic sparks and sinister undertones of the story start from almost the very beginning and give the narrative momentum that propels it all the way to the very end. The audience will experience Jeff’s quandary as they, too, will be immediately compelled yet wary of what might be lurking around the next corner.
