In the future, humanity has exhausted Earth’s natural resources. Despite impressive technological advancements, water is a severely limited precious commodity that is strictly rationed. Water supplies have been contaminated with pollutants. Fertile land for growing food is scarce. The planet’s rare minerals have been depleted.
