"Unity is what we must seek in truth, justice, compassion, and love."

Author Chylek covers a wide range of spiritual topics in this inspirational narrative. Readers will discover precepts and philosophies from diverse traditions as Chylek is unafraid to explore any belief system. She also illustrates her thoughts with precepts from popular literature and film that ring true, with an eye to monotheistic viewpoints.

As the narrative moves from a brief introduction to Chylek’s Catholic childhood, it then turns, as she did, to the Kabbalah, a system of Jewish mysticism that pronounces that God delivered creation through the Hebrew language. Every Hebrew letter, number, and word is thought to have a mystical form that reveals esoteric meaning within the exoteric alphabet. Chylek cautions that she’s not a scholar but abundantly shares her personal knowledge of the Hebrew alphabet and the Kabbalistic emanation of each letter through her enthusiastic writing and her personal artwork. She reminds readers that Jesus’ Jewishness and adherence to a gospel of love is part and parcel of this esoteric experience, as is the recognition that Islam also contributes to this flow of ideals that unite more than separate the Abrahamic traditions. Chylek writes, “To perfect Judaism, Christianity came. To perfect Christianity, Islam came. From the above faith to perfect many sub-branches emerged.”

While Chylek often discusses the connectedness that all people share and the great human capacity to love, she also covers many spiritual aspects of physical life, such as sexual expression as well as various conflicts and stresses that universally arise for most people in the world of matter. She gently but sternly cautions that when humanity experiences suffering and wretchedness, it is due to disconnection from the spirit and living without a higher purpose. Chylek writes passionately of the clarion call to unite rather than divide and to recognize spirit in all facets of creation.
