"I think he thinks that this issue will not look good for him. A body discovered and lost on his watch."

Trevor is a young man working in cybersecurity, hoping to make a name for himself in the espionage and law enforcement industry. Taking an interest in a man he meets at a local dog park, his new flame Christopher expresses worry that something illegal is happening at the museum where he works. Shortly thereafter, Christopher turns up dead. The investigation into his death puts Trevor on a mission that sends him to Quantico for FBI training and brings the DEA, FBI, and local police together on a hunt for a mysterious illegal drug operation that Christopher must have stumbled across. With the clock ticking and evidence disappearing by the day, this group of law enforcement officials has to set up a sting that will lead the kingpin behind this smuggling ring out of hiding and into prison.

Like any good mystery, the whodunit elements of this book hook the reader immediately with its grizzly details. But even as the plot thickens and develops, the story is ultimately a vessel for introducing and familiarizing the readers with a cast of strong characters, many of whom are likely to appear in further adventures beyond this one. The shady pasts and differing perspectives of each of the principal players allow them to look at a situation differently, providing the story with the ability to switch to any character's voice with relative ease. That being said, the mystery and the heart of this thriller tangles at just the right pace, feeding the audience with enough clues to satisfy while holding its most powerful revelations until the last, most satisfying moment. Readers will be hooked and ready for the next adventure featuring Trevor and his friend Jason.
