The world is home to many wonderful creatures who deserve to enjoy their freedom and lead their own lives. Unfortunately, they risk losing their habitats and the unique gifts they offer because of human actions. As a result, populations of animals such as tigers in the forests, buffaloes on the plains, and dolphins in the ocean have been devastated. The harm done to creatures worldwide and their environments makes conservation efforts even more important. It is the dividing line between preserving a wonderland created with such care over the ages and a terrible place where all those beautiful beings and sights are gone forever. In other words, animals' main homes and refuges shouldn't have to be zoos. Instead, they should be able to wander the world and live freely as they were meant to do from the beginning.
Presented in the style of a children's coloring book, this tale is a cautionary one about what the world could lose through thoughtless or cruel actions against its fellow inhabitants. Pretty imagery of animals in their natural habitats, or with their families, is set against a backdrop of the terrible dangers they face, from deforestation to pollution. It does an excellent job of showing those risks without making the future seem bleak because the story stresses that there is still time to make a difference and change things for the better. Also, everyone has an opportunity to ensure that beauty lasts for a long time to come. It would be easy to tell this story to young children as a gentle way to make them aware of these issues and instill in them the need to do their part and protect the blessings around them.
