Cassie Deakin loves her job as a pilot. One day, she gets an assignment to take Frank White, who works for the sheriff's department, to her Uncle Charlie's farm. She considers him a father figure since her father passed away. Additionally, the relationship between Cassie and Frank highlights the fear some men have when it comes to committing to a serious relationship. The author also touches upon the mistreatment of returning soldiers from Vietnam when they came back to the United States. The book is full of twists and turns that readers will surely enjoy.
