This compilation of the title piece and two comic series includes the author's notes and concept art for each work. "Lost Days" was originally conceived and pitched as a game, but the author states, "They rejected it because it was too ambitious." Majdob still retains the dream of creating a game from the material. The work's concept art follows the cliffhanger and includes various sketches of his original concept. The second work, "Jin-9: The Journey Begins," is set in Native City and tells the story of "Jin Natres, the ninth Earth Guardian." Known as JIn-9, he goes to battle when he discovers that "an experimental Android is on the loose." He does so with the help of his sister, Gwen—"a human born with natural genetics modification or EYO power." The final comic with its conceptual art is entitled "Aero" and features a "powerful masked crusader."
This is a fascinating look inside the mind of the author. The characters are well-defined and beautifully illustrated in these comic books. Manga fans will find not only an interesting storyline but also a detailed look at the first conception of the characters. The work will also appeal to those interested in writing within the genre, as the author includes his thoughts about his work and the motivation behind it. Not one to give up on his vision, Majdob hopes to earn enough from this compilation to bring his original plan of creating a game to fruition. The author has created a unique work that offers a glimpse into the creative process that few see. Majdob'sr's dedication to his craft is admirable, and his process and works are intriguing.
