Reclaiming A Christian Moral Compass: Living in anticipation and preparation for Jesus' promised return as the Righteous Judge is - OUR ONLY HOPE!

"We are in the age of grace between Jesus’s return to heaven and His coming again out of heaven."

Sheets presents a dramatic thesis regarding the tenor of the times that Americans, in particular, are experiencing and how this can and should deepen one’s Christian faith. Relying on references from the Holy Bible, the author seeks to demonstrate that the words and deeds of Jesus have frequently been transmuted and diluted by various Christian thinkers. Since Calvinism and other historical influences have introduced false doctrines, a determined Christian seeker must hold to the words of Jesus, as well as those of Paul and other close disciples, as recorded in scripture.

One evidence of general moral decline is the negative attitude of some modern religionists toward Donald Trump, seen by Sheets as evidence of doctrinal fallacies imbedded in many churches. There are two kinds of love that Christians can access for the betterment of their faith: agape (divine love) and storge, family love and connection passed through generations. Most important is the promise Jesus gave to return and reward the faithful. It is, the author stresses, the believer’s only hope and may happen soon.

Sheets, a retired businessman now involved in cattle raising, has written previously about many of the subjects arrayed in this latest work. As well as offering the results of his deep Bible study, he includes here personal vignettes and a sturdy viewpoint concerning current events, including the attempt to assassinate Donald Trump, which occurred just as he was completing this work. Such inclusions endow his themes with special interest for readers who wish to align their political views with their Christian morality. Sheets shows his dedication to the task of awakening others to his strongly held convictions through his diligent study of scripture, with biblical quotations on nearly every page of this lively treatise, providing material for group discussion and individual exploration.
