Author Luddeke examines in diligent detail the portions of the Holy Bible that set forth the determination of Satan to make all humanity subject to his evil plans and the ever-watchful wisdom and benevolence of God and Jesus Christ. Luddeke asserts that one need only read the Bible to understand all of history, as, over a fifteen-hundred-year period, all earthly fact was predicted and transcribed therein. Before God created the earth, He existed with a band of angels, among whom was Lucifer, who was God’s favorite. But Lucifer gradually embraced evil—pride and selfishness—based around envy of God’s power. He craved absolute dominion over God’s creations, beginning with Adam and Eve.
Though many religions teach that humans must assist God by fighting Satan, Luddeke believes that God’s sovereignty is established and eternal, needing no help from mankind. Using numerous passages from the Old and New Testaments, Luddeke solidly establishes that, in God’s time, the earth will be taken over by Satan—the “beast” as designated in biblical prophecy. God will then warn the earth’s inhabitants to avoid this counterfeit conqueror, promising the return of Jesus to retake and re-purify his creation after a fiery cataclysm engulfs it.
Luddeke is a highly intelligent, scholarly person of faith whose background in the aerospace industry establishes his ability to convey the rationality of scripture. Readers will quickly realize that many of the biblical references cited connect directly to contemporary happenings, especially centering on the importance of Israel and its inhabitants as actors in the apocalyptic drama the author portrays. The author offers a fresh look at ancient writings, bringing them to relevance for all students of biblical veracities. This first volume in a planned series will doubtless provide a focus for discussion among thoughtful Christians, who will find within it a renewal and strengthening of their individual understandings.
