This is the first novel of a planned trilogy. Kwiecinski does a fantastic job describing the Keys. Not only does the beauty of the natural and remote area of West Content Key come through, but the narrative also captures the essence of Key West with its Duval Street nightly sunset parties and the haunts of Ernest Hemingway. These descriptive sections render the setting an important aspect of the story. The author is not only good at telling an interesting and complex story but also has a knack for description that gives readers a feel for what life is like in the region. Lovers of history will enjoy the novel's informative sections, and those who enjoy thrillers will love this engaging storyline and find themselves eagerly awaiting the next installment.
