"Remember me when the years have past
When wretched aging has taken its course
Oh how on rocky banks we danced
Until our calloused feet were sore."

"Remember me when the years have past
When wretched aging has taken its course
Oh how on rocky banks we danced
Until our calloused feet were sore."
This endearing collection of verse is written by two extremely talented high school seniors who have a shared passion for books, music, and writing. They have combined their love of language and musical cadence to produce a selection of poetry that is pleasing to the heart and mind whether read silently or aloud. Divided into three sections, the book unfolds with rhyming and freestyle poems which explore an array of poignant moments. The sadness and nostalgia of aging is captured in "Remember Me," while the strength and perpetuation of love is explored in "Love Doesn't End With Eternity."
Within the selection of delicate haikus, the reader encounters the essence of intimate moments of truth, where "Life of a Dancer" encapsulates the drive and motivation of a performance artist, the relentless passage of time is revealed in "Ticking Away" and "Birds" proclaims the uplifting voices of springtime. In the final section, the tankas contrast the vibrant emotions of anger in "A Rage" with the elevated heights of happiness in "Great Joy" and speak to us of the emotions entwined with nostalgia and hope in "Memories."
Kaur and Ventakrishna have succeeded in creating a provocative and beautifully arranged collection of poems which can be read over and over again. Both authors have a unique style, each complimenting the other and weaving a hidden rhythm among and between their lines. The poems in this delightful book will move readers of all ages and will stay with you long after you have turned the last page.
