Bestselling author Debi Pearl seeks to reach everyone, yes, but mostly women with her new book Created to Be His Help Meet: Discover How God Can Make Your Marriage Glorious. This spiritual author desires for other women to share the happiness she has known in her life. (Pearl has been joyfully married several decades and has five children and fifteen grandchildren. Pearl and her husband Michael are founders of No Greater Joy Ministries.)
From a Christian perspective, Pearl writes chapters entitled "God's Gift," "Thanksgiving Produces Joy," "King and Kingdom," and "Obedient to Their Own Husbands." The book talks about the Biblical truth, the way God designed women, and the institution of marriage. Written for our time but not of our time, Pearl wants women to have biblical morals and be the submissive wife that the Bible teaches us to be.
She uses biblical scriptures as her guidelines of how women can improve their relationships with their husbands. Pearl reminds readers that we need to be selfless toward our helpless children, putting their needs above our own. Also, we, as spouses, must do the same for our husbands. Wives must put their husbands needs above their own if they have any hope of both leading fulfilling lives and pleasing God. This book gives several examples and stories of how Godly women should be with their husbands.
