"...Heaven exists right here on earth. It is not in the clouds, as church dogma has taught for thousands of years. God and souls are existing among us..."
Author Robert Greenough tackles the seemingly impossible task of reconciling science and spirituality through his discussion of evolution, religion, scientific theory, and other philosophical tenets in his book Do We Live In Two Worlds. What some people believe to be polar opposites of the same discussion is described as familial siblings by Greenough and with his vast amount of research on the scientific theories behind creation, the cosmos, and his thorough discussion of the soul, he proceeds to meld the two worlds while maintaining the basic premise that the two are not mutually exclusive. His belief is that we are more than our physical bodies and that our souls are pieces of God that have evolved since the beginning of time and will continue long after our bodies have deceased. He divides the book into several sub-categories (creation, the cosmos, the soul, and the future) and uses a great deal of scientific research, biblical references, and his own belief system to create a balanced theory as to how the two worlds relate to one another.
Greenough has done a great job of presenting an often-controversial topic in a way that is both balanced and well informed. With his extensive research in the Big Bang, theology, and philosophy, he has outlined a great deal complex information in a way that is easy for readers to understand. While some readers may not agree with every theory and principle presented, Do We Live In Two Worlds is a great book for introspective readers looking for an alternate perspective on the creation and evolution of the world.
