This is a cute children's story with charming illustrations and easy-to-read text. It seems like it could be based on a true story, but there is no mention of this in the book. The book can be read in one sitting, and the pictures are appealing to children. This is a good tool be used in the classroom or to be read aloud to young kids. There are a few misspellings in the text that slow the plot down, but overall, this book would be perfect for most young readers who love dogs and animals in general.
