This inspirational book contains twenty-five short essays on the various challenges we all encounter in life, such as mean, hateful people, discouraging situations and figuring out how to remain motivated when it seems as though everything is conspiring against you.
Smith shares his hopes and dreams as well as his hurts and disappointments. He has learned much and admits that he is still learning how to positively overcome all obstacles. He explores such issues such as "Why Am I Here?" and "It Was Meant to Happen This Way." He tells us that everything, from our own mistakes to unwanted and unwelcome tragedies, happens for a reason. He has learned to pick himself up and continue on, putting one foot in front of the other, ignoring those who would continue to throw past mistakes in his face. He encourages the reader to cultivate wisdom and not be so quick to judge others simply because we all make mistakes. He is a great believer in healthy communication and putting yourself in the other person's shoes.
While spelling and grammatical errors can be distracting, the basic message comes shining through. Smith loves God and his family and friends with his whole heart. In the face of all odds, he continues to nurture dreams and aspirations not just for his children, but also for himself. He continually reminds the reader to keep reaching, keep trying and keep communicating. He encourages all of us that no matter what may come your way, just keep depending on God and Go Through!
