Prince Inferno is the eldest son of the King of the Fireiods, one of two races that live on the planet Freeze-flame and that have been locked in conflict for decades. When King Freeze and his son Prince Frost suddenly attack around the rim of the planet, they have a clever scheme in motion. During the battle between Inferno and Frost, Frost sends Inferno through a portal that crashes him down to the planet Earth, transformed into a normal human boy instead of his typical form. Dealing with strange foster parents, boring high school classes, and bullies, Inferno must find a way back to his home planet and his family before Prince Frost locates him and puts an end to their rivalry once and for all.
Every chapter of this story is full of comic-book-style action and the kind of comedy typical for a fish out of water story like this one. Not only is Inferno in an unfamiliar body, dealing with a bizarre environment, but he is also used to being respected royalty instead of an orphan and the new kid. The pace of this story is lightning quick, lingering in each scene only as long as necessary before reaching the next battle, the next pursuit in Inferno’s journey. Sprinkled throughout the book are full-page illustrations that introduce some of the strange characters that Inferno encounters in his short time on Earth. The quick storytelling and cinematic action will excite developing readers and get them hooked on what promises to be a frenetic series of adventures.
