Meanderings is a unique collection of mystical poems and short stories that span a vast spectrum of mysterious subjects. With characters that include trolls, wizards, spirits, dragons, and others more occult in nature, it is clear the author used his vivid imagination to create pieces that feel like they are from another realm. Poems that include everything from intimate moments shared between lovers to soldiers in war and short stories that include the tale of a serial killer meeting his end, this seemingly small book promises to take readers on a literary ride they won't soon forget.
Salmon's writing is impeccable and though the subject matter may seem dark at times, his verses flow together to create enigmatic masterpieces that are beautiful in their own right. With surprise twists and magical turns in each short story, readers are sure to enjoy the vast array of topics that may force them out of their comfort zone just enough to open their minds to an entirely new world. Simply put, Salmon invites readers to meander through his work with wonder and curiosity for they never know what is waiting for them on the very next page.
While the style of writing included in Meanderings may appeal more to readers interested in literary fantasies that take them out of reality and into the esoteric realms, this book is not to be missed. Salmon has incredible talent and his imagination and flawless writing included in this book is evidence of an author pouring his heart and soul into his craft.
