Rebecca's Revenge
by S.D. Cargle & Carol Welty Roper
Trafford Publishing

"We have to bring their murderer to justice. That is the only way I can have my revenge."

On Halloween night, Rebecca is drawn to the "ol'house at the edge of town," where no kids ever dare to venture, but she knows in her heart that something is very wrong at that house. Against her better judgment, she breaks away from her brother, Ben, and his friends on Halloween night and sets off to seek her answers. At the ol'house, Rebecca finds danger and more than she bargained for when she discovers an evil witch lives there. Entrapped, Rebecca meets her untimely death and is departed from her earthly body.

As a spirit in between worlds, Rebecca calls upon her family for help to avenge her death. Together, with the help of a trusty, local police officer, Rebecca and her family race to confront and try to stop the evil witch before she kills again. And with even more help from the Good Spirit, Rebecca knows she's in good hands as she prepares to move on to the next world.

This is a creepy little adventure, combined with horror and humor that's perfect for the upcoming Halloween season. The themes of good and evil, revenge, family, and faith are all handled in a sophisticated way. Rebecca is a cool spirit and it's special to see how her family finds strength together to combat the evil in their town and seek justice for Rebecca. It's a novel that can be enjoyed by teens and adults alike, making for a good old fashioned campfire story. On Halloween night, perhaps. If you dare.
