Soulja's Story 2: Blood Money
by Mr. A.I.T.
Trafford Publishing

"Bo had a; threw and threw arm womb that missed all his vital organs tho it still had to be treated to."

Soulja is living in the Netherlands to dodge both the feds and the drug cartel that are out for his blood back in the U.S. He continues to run his drug empire overseas and has opened up Club A.I.T. (which stands for "Always In Trouble") as well as A.I.T. Records to help redistribute his money into legal enterprises. Sharing the drugs he has scored with his brothers (and a few sisters) back in the States, Soulja's crew takes over several cities, making themselves the only game in town, not to mention rich. Soulja warns them all to stay safe, be careful, and reinvest their millions in legit businesses to get out of the game. Some listen, others prefer to call their own shots, and plenty of blood is spilled.

Though spelling issues dog this title (particularly phrases like "open wombs" that characters suffer after gunshots are fired) and the characters are ghetto stereotypes in tricked-out rides, there's a morality play lurking beneath the surface. Soulja longs for a life on the right side of the law, even as he luxuriates in the trappings of his ill-gotten wealth. Though he hopes the charges against him will be dropped so he can return to his family and be a father to his young children, his luck eventually runs out. Despite an emphasis on guns, gold, and girls, Mr. A.I.T.'s sequel shows that all the bling in the world can't save a man from his fate.
