This 900-question, comprehensive study guide is well organized and intended to follow along with chapters from the author's original work Strategic and Tactical Considerations on the Fireground, Third Edition. It offers 100 multiple choice questions per study guide chapter that the reader can use to test their knowledge or develop firefighting field strategies and plans. From basic fire classifications to search and rescue and Incident Command structure, the guide touches on it all. Following each set of questions is an easy to follow answer key that also includes page references back to the study text.
The author's tenure and firm understanding of first responders and firefighting is evident as it appears no stone is left unturned as he seeks to truly educate those interested in his field. The questions are well worded and the answers are not leading, but are instead presented in a way to make the reader truly think through the scenario. The totality of subject matter contained in the guide makes it a true resource for seasoned and rookie firefighters alike and should be well accepted as a go-to guide.
