"The most difficult thing I ever had to do is work towards a path of forgiveness to that bully who had wreaked havoc in my life and had destroyed my reputation and career."

This timely book on bullying relates one man's story regarding his history of being bullied as a child and then as an adult. Primarily, though, it is about being bullied by one man throughout his life, no matter where he moved around the country. He first remembers being bullied at age six and relates the statistics regarding bullying. The book is then broken into two parts. The larger first part is about the bullying and stalking he went through as an adult in his workplaces. The second part focuses on how to cope and to get help regarding bullying. The author gives concrete examples of the bullying received and how this impacted his physical and mental health, including developing PTSD. He also focuses on overcoming such difficulties through God and prayer.

Many people have been bullied at some point in their lives, and this book does a nice job of exploring such behaviors and some of the outcomes from this. The stories are difficult to read regarding how the narrator was set up by a so-called friend to be targeted. It is a tale that comes across as chilling due to the ongoing gaslighting by one particular man, a man who demonstrates sociopathy. The rest of the book looks at ways to cope, including how the narrator should have handled things differently at work, his specific recommendations, and his development of an anti-bullying app as well as an online network. Although the book could have benefited from some additional editing, it is overall an easy read on a difficult subject and a creepy examination of what it means to be gaslighted.
