Tesseract Resurrection is the fifth and final installment of the Tesseract series. Stella and her family must face their destinies to preserve human life. There is a sinister force in the world that threatens the family and their devotion to one another as well as their strength and survival skills. The family must band together and protect each other from the things that threaten their very existence. While the family seems to be strong together, the darker forces continue to try to separate them and get to the one person who would carry on the legacy and destroy her.
This may be the fifth installment in the series, but it can be read as a standalone book. There is enough back detail that the reader doesn't feel like they are missing out on any information. While the book is shorter, coming in at about 113 pages, it is jam packed with action and suspense. Ebeling does a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life, making it seem as if there could be people like them in the real world. The story challenges the reader's thoughts on human behaviors: what motivates them, or what it means to sacrifice themselves for the ones they love. There are twists and turns at every corner, threatening the reliability of certain characters. There are plenty of moments in the story of the family interacting as a normal family, which draws on sympathy and compassion. The end is a complete surprise, however there are clues leading up to the end. This story masterfully weaves fantasy elements with psychological thrillers to bring this alternate dimension to life.
