Michael, the author, declares this book to be like nothing you ever read… an astounding novel. The author may be using a play on the word "novel" since the author's name remains secret and the conclusions revealed are the opinions of a single person. However, the book is clearly an exegesis of Bible verses from the Easy-to-Read Version (originally simplified for the deaf) with corresponding interpretations. The stated goal is to educate Bible believers so they can become the true united church that God intended, rather than four hundred variations that currently exist. Regardless of whether the author's goal is reached with this book, what intrigues most is how a single interpretation from one paragraph in the book of Genesis can expand and lead to Michael's unique revelations throughout the whole Bible.
Ultimately, the reader is left to decide whether this work is a passionate mission or a rational argument. Since Biblical times, an argument must be based on several witnesses or proof. Disagreeing with other churches whether Adam was the first created man on Earth, Michael offers a single assumption: "Even scientists have proven them [religious groups] to be in error." Without further proof, Michael proceeds to build his case by revealing that Adam was just the first man created in God's image… there were others who were not.
One must admire the sincerity, passion, and attention to detail that covers 327 text pages. Lists of various translations of Greek words and an index increase the reader's ability to follow along logically. A good editor could have polished the results. Regardless, the person who buys this book undoubtedly shares a concern that knowledge gained from the tree of good and evil has led mankind to arrive at conclusions worldwide that are neither truth, the whole truth, or nothing but the truth.
