Thoth & Jesus of Egypt
by Louise Toth
Trafford Publishing

"As I lay in the sarcophagus, thoughts race, 'I am laying where great kings have lain in this very sarcophagus in the king's chamber.'"

Mixing fiction and nonfiction, this story follows Louise during an educational conference in Cairo. Meeting friends and intellectual peers, her journey is filled with unimaginable sights, positive energy, and valuable relationships while the reader learns the exciting details of ancient Egyptian history. Louise's journey takes multiple unexpected twists as she meets a charming suitor, a wise Lakota elder, and is selected to take part in a private ceremony inside the King's Chamber of the great pyramid. Through a series of interesting classes and lectures, private journeys, and personal growth, Louise comes to better understand the Egyptian culture and spread her own personal philosophies to those around her. When the time comes to leave, she is faced with a much more difficult decision than she anticipated: can she leave behind this magical land rich in history and culture?

With multiple asides to the reader and facts inserted throughout the dialogue, this book is focused on both entertainment and education. Those with little or no knowledge on the gods and mythology of Egypt will enjoy discovering the rich history of the iconic African nation. Readers more well-versed in the gods and landmarks surrounding Cairo will still be able to experience the author's philosophical and spiritual outlooks and uplifting messages. This title combines reality, fantasy, history, mythology, humanity, and spirituality into one exciting package. The content regarding Jesus' time in Egypt will be of interest to Christian scholars, but is not so heavy-handed to turn off those less spiritually inclined. All that is required to enjoy this title is a spirit of adventure and an open mind.
