Whether we succeed at living a happy and productive life, according to Ragin, is a direct result of our thoughts. Furthermore, as long as people are afraid, they will never be able to take control of their lives. The very essence of fear produces the kind of thinking that robs people of the life that they are entitled to live. Ragin fearlessly questions cultural expectations and traditional thought, insisting that the world we live in was created by the thoughts that we think and the things that we believe to be true.
Ragin proposes that If everything begins with a thought then horrible things like wars also happen because someone, somewhere thinks they should. They end in the very same manner. Even human life begins with a mere thought. He encourages people to conquer fear and dare to ask questions. To accept what others have told us to believe without first learning to think for ourselves is futile. Once we come to understand the power of our belief systems to determine the quality of life, most of us will begin the process of turning our thoughts toward the life that we were intended to live. "You and I are who we are because of the dominating THOUGHTS that we allow to control us." The ultimate message is one of hope. The human mind could be the most powerful thing in existence.
