Wisdom to Success by Debbi Dachinger CreateSpace
book review by C.D.
"Remember you are the steward of your own life. That's the bottom line."
As the effervescent personality behind the award-winning syndicated radio show, "Dare to Dream," a place where listeners can find knowledge and inspiration to create their own success stories, Debbi Dachinger appears to be a modern day self-help guru. In her latest endeavor, the audience gets to experience another side of this multi-faceted woman as she moves from the position of interviewer to interviewee, while other radio hosts tap into Dachinger's own personal journey and experience, as a featured guest on goal achievement.
Since this new book is formatted with literal interview transcripts, a certain amount of repetition might be expected, as similar key questions are often asked in the interest of finding the secrets to success. Yet Dachinger is fully engaged and present through each new dialogue, providing open and informative responses with nuances that drive her point home. Here Dachinger often initiates her own questions, and invites guided meditations to help the host/listeners, and now readers, to address their concerns, let go, and move in a positive direction. Overall Dachinger reveals a treasure trove of information and wisdom for those looking to overcome their fears, take positive action, and fulfill their dreams. Highlights include a 5-step plan to goal achievement, following the patterns of successful people, realizing the elements that hold us back, and the importance of Mastermind Group support. Dachinger even touches on Quantum Physics in terms of the relevance to "You" being in charge.
Interviews are interspersed with inspirational "quotables" from Ayn Rand to Erma Bombeck. But some of the most powerful words are the author's own Debbi-isms like "Turn your mess into your message," and motivational phrases such as "Feel your fear, and go after your dream anyway," or "Dreams don't work unless you do.". Each holds a resonating energy of self-empowerment. While Wisdom to Success provides an abundance of insight to set readers on a path to fulfillment, the references to Dachinger's earlier best-seller Dare to Dream: This Life Counts!, are equally exuberant, and bound to entice readers for continued motivation. Undoubtedly another enlightening read.
