Author and Evangelist John Dye shares his spiritual insight, advice, and God's message in his book, Your Personal Destiny. As a self-proclaimed "man of God", he learned of his life mission to help deliver God's message in 1995. Since then, he has worked with individuals from all walks of life in order to spread the word of God so they too "...will love God & each other by motivating them to change from the pessimism of the world to optimism found in God for their own good." This book is but one tool he uses to share that message.
Like many spiritual books, Your Personal Destiny is meant to be a compliment, not replacement, for the Bible as it outlines what the author believes are necessary truths in order to create an individual relationship with God outside of more dogmatic religions. These truths include the spiritual foundation for life, creation, holy marriage, obedience, temptation, and many more. Each topic is organized in short, easy to read chapters and includes references to specific scriptures for further reading. And while this book is based heavily on scripture from the Bible, Dye's teachings are far more spiritual than religious. He believes that many religious paths are lead by sight rather than faith, which he considers to be in direct opposition of God's word.
The author does a good job sharing his principles and beliefs in a way that is easy to understand and while it may not be right for more traditional believers, it is a great book for spiritual seekers looking for guidance on developing a more personal relationship with God outside religious institutions.
